I spent over two weeks trying to get the formatting for my masters
thesis correct according to the Vanderbilt Graduate School rules
(1999). I think I did a pretty good job, so I provide the LaTeX
formatting template for others to make use of.
If you like this, or have suggestions for changes, please send me an
email. The core of this is 'vuthesis.cls' which builds on the
standard 'report.cls'.
Two directories:
- Matt's files has the files I used for formatting
my thesis for submission Spring 1999.
- Ravi's files has the files that Dr. Ravi
Kapadia from my department used (slight modifications from mine) for
his dissertation submission Fall 1999. They're probably a little
better, especially for a dissertation. (I don't understand the comment
at \titlep in vuthesis.cls). Also, Ravi sent his 'report.cls' file
(says it's version 1.3y, though I can't verify if anything was changed
about it). You should probably use whatever 'report.cls' file is
distributed in your LaTeX package.
